Dr Chong-Yee Khoo will attend the annual CIPA Life Sciences Conference on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 November 2024.
The conference is organised by the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and will be held at De Vere Tortworth Court Hotel in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire.
Chong-Yee Khoo will give a talk on “Patent Term Extensions (PTEs) for Pharmaceutical Products in South East Asia” as part of the “Understanding SPCs in Different Countries” webinar series, organised by the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys of the United Kingdom.
Chong-Yee will undertake a survey of the patent laws in various South East Asian Countries, including ASEAN territories: Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. He will discuss whether it is possible to obtain extensions of the term of a patent covering a pharmaceutical or biologic, where there had been a delay in obtaining regulatory approval.
The webinar will be held on 2 September 2024 at 1230 hours BST.
